" I had been ready to give up polo following a season where my ball skills had gone backward. However,
after one lesson with Rob Ballard he had identified some key mistakes with my swing and given me
valuable advice, at two lessons I was feeling more confident in my ability to hit the ball. By the third lesson
Rob was giving me tips to work on at home and the skills to self evaluate my swing and things going wrong with it.
I highly recommend lessons as Sydney Polo both for beginner and players who wish to improve their
skills".

"After a year of riding lessons in which I had learnt to canter comfortably, I decided to come to Sydney
to take a week of polo lessons. After cantering around a bit, I find that the polo ponies are very sensitve
to weight shifts, and the rider has to be very aware of what he's doing on the horse.
My first stick and ball session was a bit of a disaster. The wooden horse is fine, but how do you hit the
ball when everything is wobbling about? Ultimately it is a matter of technique and practice. After 3 days,
and many misses, I finally hit the ball while cantering! What a joy!
The week at Sydney Polo provided me with a good foundation for polo. I have now been awarded a
beginners' handicap in Singapore".
